Saint John is a city located on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. The area that would become Saint John was settled in 1604 by French colonists. The city itself was established in 1785 by royal charter, making it the oldest incorporated city in Canada.  Today, Saint John has the third largest port in all of Canada.

Saint John Free Public Library – Saint John Free Public Library has a massive collection of over 2 million items across three branches and provincial collection. The library also provides programs and services, such as public lectures and storytime for children.

Carleton Community Centre – The original building of the Carleton Community Centre was in 1863 as a public meeting hall. Today, the centre provides recreational activities for those of all ages in the area, including sports leagues, art classes, and fitness classes.

Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue – Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to providing rescue, temporary housing, and care to stray or unwanted pets. Last year, they housed about 630 animals.
